Bio: Monique MacNaughton was born in Ottawa in 1965 and diagnosed with autism at an early age. After years of special education and the determined efforts of her parents, she was able to complete high school and post-secondary education and is currently a free-lance artist and graphic designer residing with her family in Fredericton, New Brunswick, where they have lived since 1978. In addition to her regular work she has self-published several graphic novels and is currently working on GAAK, a collaborative comics project with writer Darryl Hughes, which is a tongue-in-cheek UFO invasion epic in the tradition of Steven Spielberg's children's films.
