| I would like to share
a funny moment with you on a boy who I work with who has aspergers.
Scott was having a not so good day, everything he could do of
course of MY PERCEPTION was driving me crazy! Finally I could
not take anymore of it as it was getting near the end of the
day and I stopped him right in his tracks and was giving him
a real pep talk and what if's and I finally said to him"if
you don't pull up your socks .. he stood there looking at me
not knowing how frustrated I was and calmly meant down and literally
pulled up his blue socks that were down at his ankles. Well,
let me tell you I immediatly let go of all the frustration and
reached out and gave him a big hug and told him "to never
change" (making sure this time to clarify what I meant) |
