Several excellent books are available that deal with this comprehensively. The book of Lisa Lewis "Special Diets for Special Kids" is the best. Many children may have additional allergies such as citrus fruits, eggs, etc so doing an IgG food allergy test is appropriate. Check out the Great Plains website for more information and to order the book. |

When the number of food allergies is so great, the most common reason is severe dysbiosis, most commonly GI Candidida. Use of antifungal treatment and probiotics may be helpful. You may also want to supplement with digestive enzymes so that foods are less likely to trigger more allergies. You will need to find another physician to help you out with these treatments. |

Biomedical treatment doesn't dscribe what you are doing. There are probably more than 100 different treatments that qualify. You need a comprehensive review of all treatments and lab tests by your current physician or another physician. |

There is definitely increased risk of an autistic spectrum disorder with one of the parents having this diagnosis. I doubt that anyone could give you a precise number for the exact risk. Autism is believed to be multifactorial with perhaps 20-50 genes or more involved. |
