About Matthew Lebowitz

Matthew Lebowitz

I am an Assistant Professor of Medical Psychology (in Psychiatry) at Columbia University, affiliated with the Center for Research on Ethical, Legal and Social Implications of Psychiatric, Neurologic and Behavioral Genetics at Columbia University. I completed my Ph.D. in the Department of Psychology at Yale University, where I was a member of the Thinking Lab. My research primarily concerns the ways in which attitudes and beliefs—about mental disorders and other health conditions, as well as about behavior more broadly—are affected by causal reasoning and related psychological processes.
