Hello, my name is Susanna Timor and I am Stephanie Timor’s mother. I wanted to share a story with you about a journey that Stephie and I took a few years ago to a little town in Europe.
First, let me give you a bit of background information about Stephanie, she is now 22 years old and was born perfectly and not until the age of three. I thought they might be something wrong and mainly that she did not speak very much at all. Long story short, after all the MRI’s etc, etc. doctor’s could not find anything wrong with her brain, were not able to explain why or what could it be, and just told me to wait. By age 5 they said that all they could say is that she is mentally retarded because there is nothing else they could see in all of her tests. I, personally, think it was the vaccine.
Anyway, I tried everything possible for years from therapies, exercise, doctors, medicine, vitamins, and lots of prayers. One day, all of the sudden I thought, I need to take her to Lourdes. Then, I began to question myself whether I am going too far and should just accept things so I prayed and asked for some sign that I was doing the right thing. I asked God that I wanted to receive a single white rose. I don’t know how I was going to get one but I needed some sign from him. Days passed and nothing so I began to get discouraged but I went ahead anyway, and booked a flight for us to Paris that then took us to Lourdes. All of this on a weekend.
The following day we arrived at Lourdes and I have to say it was an incredible place. The faith in that place was amazing. We walked all around and then proceeded to the baths. We were walking on the opposite side of the place for the baths where hundreds of people lined up to go into theses baths and heal whatever devastating illness or disability in their lives. All of the sudden, I see a woman looking straight at me from across the way at the entrance of the bath making gestures with her hands asking me to come over there. First, I thought she was not referring to me but. I realized she was. I went across with Stephanie and she just took us in front of hundreds of people that had been waiting for hours and said” You need the bath first”. We undressed and she merged me into this bath first with the coldest water running and flowing through my body. She poured water over my head and prayed and prayed. I was then given a robe and waited until Stephanie was merged into this holy bath and be blessed . All I kept doing was praying that a healing and miracle would happen to my child by the cleansing of the body by this holy waters. This lady looked at me with such peace and faith that it was indescribable as I exited the baths. she said a few words to me in Italian that I could understand but that was o.k..
Then, Steph and I walked all around to see everything in that mountain while waiting for the mass. As it got closer to the time for the Mass people started to gather around this huge courtyard. People in wheelchairs, in roll up beds with oxygen tanks, IV’s, all kinds of disabilities, abnormalities, blind, terminally ill, etc etc., and everyone was there for the same thing, hoping and praying for a Miracle from God. Me, included. They requested that all the children be seated at front so there I went with Steph. We were in the first row of this huge circle of people. The Mass began and people were blessed, prayed for the healing etc etc. so many Miracles, I felt, were happening that I could not stop crying. Towards the end of this beautiful Service/Mass a couple of ladies with baskets and baskets that contained hundreds and hundreds of red roses were placed on each side of the circle where they were to go around and give every single person a red rose. My God, the first thing that came to my mind was my request for a single white rose. But, the roses were not white but red. As the lady got to me and Steph she looked at me and then, skipped me and continued to go around. I started to cry again saddened by the fact that she had skipped me. When they had finished the rounds and provided every single person with a red rose, this lady from across the way, walked directly towards me and handed me a beautiful single white rose. I began to cry non stop hugging Stephanie. As they began with the closing of the Service/Mass I handed my white rose to the man next to me carrying this child that was a big mass that could not even hold herself up. I don’t even think she had a spinal cord. It was very sad to me. I gave this man my white rose and told him you can have my miracle, she needs it more than mine. I prayed to God and thanked him and asked that he give Stephies miracle to this child that needed it more than her. Steph and I went back to Paris, had a nice dinner and flew back home the following morning. To this day, this story is vivid to me and I really believe that a miracle happened. The whole experience was beyond comprehension. The most amazing thing was that all the other roses were red and only a single rose was given to me. All the other Roses had to be red for me to actually see his work and his answer to me for a single rose. I kept a pedal from that rose to always remember and to continue to bless and work miracles on my Steph. The timing of the rose was not as I requested but nevertheless I got the rose at his time – The perfect time – not any later or sooner.
I know this is a long story but it is a true story about a journey to Lourdes to experience a miracle. I hope this story will inspire people to have faith and believe in miracles.
